As well No US Support due to licensing, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a big deal for the rest of the world.
Like mentioned just seems like a lot of effort and its going to require a premimum membership to whom ever uses the service. Would be kinda cool, but it is what it is. |

Hi,
Until plugin is available, i use the following trick to listen spotify in my living room through XBMC: - In my PC, i have installed DSBridge in Spotify folder. Basically, this is a small program that allows you to stream Spotify through your network http://www.mail-archive.com/discuss@...msg122786.html - Then, i have created a strm file (http://www.xbmc.org/wiki/?title=HOW-..._audio_streams). The content of my strm file is http://192.168.1.3:8124/ , where 192.168.1.3 is the ip of my PC - Open the strm from XBMC and voilá, you can listen Spotify through your XBMC |

<source> <name>Spotify Stream</name> <path pathversion="1">http://192.168.0.100:8124</path> </source> to my sources.xml I run spotify for windows, and I have added dsbridge.ini, dsound.dll and lame_enc.dll to my spotify folder. When I start to play spotify, I have then new icon in the tray. Its blue. Then when I press the stream in XBMC, the music on my spotify stops, and the icon turns green. BUT, I don't get the music in XBMC. What can be wrong? Its like XBMC freeze, and I have to restart it. EDIT: I thought I could add the line in a source, but I now understand that I had to create the *.strm And now it works. Thanks. /Söder

The metadata isn't working for me. I also don't get the covers.
Is there something special I have to do? /Söder
