There's a setting you'll need to add to your advancesettings.xml file to disable them. I'm not sure of the specifics but you can do a search for it here.

Good news everyone! I've figured out a way to use two different watch / unwatched overlays so now I can add them to the text-based lists. Update soon!

I have modded your mod. Hope you are OK with this.



Changes:

Re-implemented watched items ticks next to lists.
Changed Movie rating from text to stars.
Darker Topbar.
Re-added number of objects to bottom left.

Added options to remove the default media type icons when in Library Views i think these don't serve a purpose in the Library view because they are always all the same. You can either enable them altogether or just the unselected items. I quite like leaving the selected one enabled because it provides another nice visual cue of the highlighted item This can be enabled/disabled in the skin settings.

I have uploaded a video of the changes to Youtube here. Sorry for low quality video. If anyone is interested in the MOD I will upload.

For those interested, the advancedsettings.xml must look like this:
